I just started reading Danielewski's "House of Leaves" and I haven't been able to put it down. Though it's been a few years since it was first published, his writing bleeds in an almost entirely new way, combining elements of the best meta- and postmodern fiction before him: A haunting, creative masterpiece.

Ram Dass's "Be Here Now" describes one man's transformative relationship with yoga, upon his acceptance of the principles therein. Beautifully illustrated and uniquely deep in its scope, this book is a great special something to give yourself or someone close.
